Surfactants
NovaStar offers a full line of surfactant products. Surfactants are a group of products that lower the interfacial surface tension between two previously immiscible liquids thereby allowing the mixing of the liquids. Surfactants may also lower the contact angle between a liquid and a solid acting as a wetting agent.
Applications include:
Cleaning paraffin or sludges from downhole or other equipment
Increasing injection rates or lowering injection pressures
De-watering or removing water blocks
Increasing calcium carbonate removal
Preventing swelling of water sensitive clays
