Paraffin Control
NovaStar has a complete product line for paraffin and asphaltene control. Paraffins and asphaltenes are naturally occurring components of crude oils. Asphaltenes are large aromatic agglomerate compounds which are held in solution by petroleum resins naturally found in the crude oils. They will accumulate in areas of your production equipment where the natural resin balance is disrupted, such as areas where pressure drops occur. Paraffins are saturated hydrocarbon waxes which will precipitate when conditions are altered which makes them no longer soluble in the crude.
