Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenger
NS-1509 is a water soluble formulation of Triazine designed to remove H2S from production systems. The by-products of the H2S reaction are water soluble and are removed with the water in the system. NS-1509 is designed to control H2S with bubble tower applications and/or continuous injections into the transmission or flow lines. The rates of product needed depend upon the concentrations of the H2S in the system and the volume of produced fluid or gas to be cleaned. When using a bubble tower application, the product should be mixed with fresh water at a rate of 1:1. The tower should be filled to a level of 2/3 full with the 1:1 mixture. When using in continuous injection, the product may be used neat when high concentrations of H2S are present. For low2 concentrations the product may be used in mixtures of 1:3 with fresh water. When diluted, the addition of methanol may be needed to control freezing in below zero climates. This product does not contain a scale inhibitor to assist in control for scale precipitation due to the pH of the product.
